Theatre on the Edge Presents: The Benefit Show for the Ride to Conquer Cancer

On Thursday, June 6th, 2019, from 8:00-10:00 PM, at Button Factory Arts, two local improv troupes, Theatre on the Edge and Laughs on Tap, will be joining forces to put on a live improv comedy show with all proceeds going to support the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

The show format will be familiar to fans of “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, featuring performers who start with an empty stage and use audience-provided suggestions to produce comedic scenes.

“We’re very excited to be working together to bring laughter to the community. It’s something we do every Thursday evening but when we’re supporting a great cause, it seems to be that much more energetic,” says Joel Young, Treasurer for Theatre on the Edge.

Tickets for this event can be purchased in advance online through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/live-improv-comedy-in-support-of-the-ride-to-conquer-cancer-tickets-61355805867) for $15, or at the door for $20, subject to availability. Space is limited, so get your tickets soon.

Theatre on the Edge (TOTE) has been performing live, improvised comedy since 1981. They perform every Thursday night at Button Factory Arts, with a different lineup of players creating scenes based on suggestions from the audience. This makes each show completely unique.

Laughs on tap has been goofing off since September 2015. They’re a tight-knit group of improvisers (and friends) who produce bar comedy shows featuring improv, sketch and musical comedy.
