HELP SUPPORT THE ANIMALS IN OUR CARE – FEBRUARY 26 – MARCH 2
Together we can ‘bake’ a different, one sweet cupcake at a time!
Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, February 22, 2018 The Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society will be hosting National Cupcake Day at their 250 Riverbend Drive location from February 26 to March 2, between 11:00am and 5:00pm.
Come in and enjoy a delicious cupcake when you make a donation of $3 or more in support of the thousands of animals that come through our Centre each year! Animals like Flurry, a stray cat who, at just five weeks old was found on the side of the road with a plastic lid caught around his neck. This piece of litter had cut so deep into his skin that he required immediate medical care. Without intervention, he would have succumbed to his injuries and died in pain, scared and alone.
Thanks to some caring community members, Flurry was brought into our Centre where he underwent treatment and surgery and will, thankfully, make a full recovery. He is currently getting some much needed rest in his foster home.
So many animals like Flurry are brought into the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society which is why we are inviting you to join us throughout the week for National Cupcake Day!
As a registered charity that does not receive government funding, we rely on the support and generosity of our caring community members to help give animals a chance at life. By making a donation, you will join an exceptional group of supporters who understand the importance of providing a safe place for animals in need – all while enjoying a sweet treat!
**Bonus: Stick around and visit with all of our cute and adorable animals! Can’t wait to see you there!
