raresites Eramosa Community Bioblitz
Explore rare’s new property in the Eramosa River Conservation Corridor at this year’s bioblitz!
A bioblitz is an intense period of biological surveying where a group of experts, naturalists and volunteers attempt to record as many species as they can in one area. Become a citizen scientist, and learn from experts in the field how to find and identify species of plants, animals, and fungi living in our area. As evidenced by the success of bioblitzes around the world including at other rare properties, together we can find and catalogue a lot of species in just a short time. Help us build our species list at this new property — rare’s first land in Wellington Region! Events run from 8-10PM on July 26, and between 6AM and 3PM on July 27.
