Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Celebrates Grand Re-Opening Of Canada Heavy Equipment College

Free event scheduled for Wednesday July 24, 2019 from 1-3pm

A Grand Opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 to announce the re-opening of the new Canada Heavy Equipment College classroom location. Cambridge Mayor Kathryn McGarry will be on-site to celebrate the re-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Facility doors will open from 1pm-3pm with complimentary food and beverages provided for all attendees.

Canada Heavy Equipment College is a leader in the heavy equipment and truck driver training industry. They plan to use the new classroom location to offer students a local classroom to complete the theory training portion of their heavy equipment and truck driving certification. A large gravel pit is also available to students for all practical, hands-on training.

“The construction and trucking industries are constantly looking to hire trained and certified operators, yet there is a negative stigma about the trades industry and trade jobs,” said Dave Gow, President of Canada Heavy Equipment College. “We want to change this negativity about being an operator or truck driver by preparing and training people for the in-demand careers that are available.”

Everyone is invited to attend the celebration, grab a bite to eat and explore the new facility. Non-perishable food items are also being accepted for donation to the Cambridge Food Bank. For more details on the celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony, please visit www.chectraining.com or contact:
