Come out for a morning at the Grand River to see what aquatic critters live at the bottom.
Participants have the option to enter the Grand River to collect their own samples, as long as they are being supervised by an adult. For those that do not wish to enter the river, they can watch from the shoreline as rare’s staff collect samples and bring them on shore.
Participants will work together along with rare staff using identification keys to identify the critters found.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Water proof footwear is strongly recommended as participants will have the option to enter the water, and the shoreline may be wet/muddy.
Participants can bring life jackets or PFD’s for young children that are entering the river. This event is free, but please register here to ensure your spot!
