The Child Witness Centre provides support to over 1,500 young people in our community every year. We provide specialized support to children and youth that have been made victims or witnesses of abuse or crime.
Many local children and youth have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. The demand for our services has increased as young people have missed out on healthy activities outside the home – while often being trapped close to the source of their abuse. Proceeds from the Pancake Lunch will go towards ensuring victimized young people and their families receive our help!
We have some special things planned for the 40th anniversary edition of our Pancake Lunch! We are excited to have Chiefs of Police for Waterloo Region and Guelph, Bryan Larkin and Gord Cobey, joining us. It is also a thrill to have the partnership of local celebrity, ChefD. This virtual event be a great time of learning, networking, and fun.
This event will take place online on Hopin. Instructions on how ticketholders can join will be emailed prior to March 1.
