St. Mary’s RedDAY, presented by Manulife, is back on June 10, 2022.

A day focused on rallying individuals, families, and employers to join the movement to improve the sustained health and well-being of the Waterloo Region community.

St. Mary’s is the only hospital in the Waterloo Region without an MRI machine and the only
Regional Cardiac Care Centre in the entire province without MRI capabilities. MRI is vital for
diagnosing a wide variety of cardiac conditions, ranging from coronary disease to
cardiomyopathy, to congenital heart disease. Presently, all St. Mary’s patients requiring an
MRI exam are put in a queue and sent to Grand River Hospital. Shuffling fragile cardiac
patients back and forth between hospitals for diagnostic testing adds unnecessary stress to
their health care journey.
