The Cambridge Tour de Grand is an annual recreational bicycle event which was first held in 1998 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the formation of the City of Cambridge. The event was organized by Don Rope, members of the Cambridge Trails Advisory Committee and other volunteers. The turnout of over 500 cyclists on a rainy Sunday morning, to ride one of three routes, showed there was great interest by local cyclists in such an event. As a result, it was decided to hold the Cambridge Tour de Grand on an annual basis.
Each year the number of cyclists participating has increased substantially with almost 3,000 cyclists riding in the 20th annual Cambridge Tour de Grand last year.
Eleven routes from 10 km up to 160 km, including the 50 and 76 km gravel and trail routes, attract cyclists of all ages and abilities.
Come and join in a great day of cycling on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
