On Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at 2:00 pm, and for the first time in Elmira, the Woolwich Memorial Centre will open for a Craft Beer, Wine, and Shine Event!
This adult-only event will allow participants to sample from numerous distilleries, craft breweries, and wineries, from across Ontario.
What is most exciting about this event comes from the foundational premise. The proceeds raised from this event will go to support the Grand River Hospital Foundation in another endeavor for the Shine A Little Light Campaign.
This campaign was spearheaded by a small group of local businesses in 2017 which included Murphy’s Law Distillery, Elmira Home Hardware, Elmira Harvey’s, and Baby Charlotte. Together, and with the support of the community over $5000 was raised at one event at Murphy’s Law in November. Collectively nearly 400 Jellycat Teddy Bears were delivered to Grand River Hospital the week before Christmas, along with nearly $4000 in food vouchers from the Elmira Harvey’s.
The opportunity to come together as a community on a much larger scale for this amazing Foundation stands before us. All proceeds raised from this event will go back to the Pediatric Units of Grand River.
Numerous community stakeholders including those mentioned above have come together to support this first ever event in Elmira.
The only thing missing is you.
