WHAT… Hike for Hospice is our annual fundraising event that allows families and friends to come together and hike for a great cause, while also having an opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one they have lost.
WHO… Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice is Waterloo Region’s only residential hospices. We provide exceptional palliative care to residents while supporting their family through the end-of-life journey at no cost. We welcome people to stay with us in a beautiful, home-like setting where they can be surrounded by their loved ones and live their final days in peace, free from pain. Although people come to Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice because they are dying, we focus on living and offer comfort, care and closure. We strive for “Making Moments Matter” for our residents by providing more than just the typical care that is expected. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our community. In order to sustain operations at Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice we must raise $1.5 million each and every year.
