As part of our last screening for 2019, CineSeries is pleased to announce an important partnership with Cambridge Shelter Corporation, The Bridges, for a Winter Warmer Donation Drive.

On Wednesday, November 20, 7:30 PM at Cambridge Centre’s Galaxy Cinemas, the CineSeries team will be collecting frequently required items by The Bridges so they can continue to provide programs, supports and services for anyone in the community experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

At this screening, the following items will be collected for The Bridges program:

Winter gloves and toques
Socks and underwear
Coffee

A team member from The Bridges will attend the screening, WILD NIGHTS WITH EMILY, to discuss the impact the community has in assisting Cambridge Shelter Corporation, and to answer questions. The CineSeries team will collect all donations on site at the event.

About the film

WILD NIGHTS WITH EMILY, directed by Madeleine Olnek and starring Molly Shannon, is a timely critique of how women’s history is being rewritten. In the mid-19th century, Emily Dickinson is writing prolifically, baking gingerbread, and enjoying a passionate, lifelong relationship with another woman, her friend and sister-in-law Susan. Beloved comic Molly Shannon leads in this humorous yet bold reappraisal of Dickinson, informed by her private letters.
