RON JOSOL
Ron Josol represents the new generation of comedy. With his modish comedy style and commanding stage presence, he is one of the hottest acts today. He performs regularly in Canada, U.S., Pacific Islands, Persian Gulf, Asia, central America, the Carribean and the middle east.

In his 2nd year as a comedian, Ron won the Craven A’s Funniest Homegrown Competition for the Just For Laughs comedy festival in 2000. Since then he has been performing in festivals such as the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs festival, International Comedy Fest 2k8, The Orange County Comedy Festival and the LOL Comedy Festival in Hollywood, California.

Indubitably, the most recognizable Asian comedian in Canada, Ron was profiled on the Comedy Network, ABS-CBN Asia, Showtime Dubai, CBC, Discovery channel, Echo, omni1&2, MTV Canada, and recently the Biography Channel Canada.

He has hosted his own television series on the new omni2 Network called, FLIP. He produced, co-wrote and starred as the lead of a short film based on his true story entitled, Rolling Longaniza, which aired on the CBC Zflicks. He has written and perform on the MuchMusic hit show Video on Trial and MuchMoreMusic.

Ron has taped numerous stand-up comedy specials in his career. He first achieved his own comedy special in 2000, Comedy Now!, on CTV/Comedy network. He has been featured in ABS-CBN’s Slanted Comedy taped at the San Jose Improv and recently recorded two comedy specials produced by Showtime Dubai. In January 2009, Hollywood producers have taken notice and gave him the opportunity to film his 1st US national spot in the LOL comedy Festival on showtime USA.

JEAN PAUL
Trinidadian-born, Brooklyn raised and currently resident of Toronto, comedian Jean Paul has always had an innate sense of humour. Maybe it’s because of his curious nature; maybe it’s because of his light-hearted view on life. Whatever the reason, Jean knew at an early age that a career in comedy was right for him. Since then, Jean has traveled extensively across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, South Africa and the U.K., performing at such legendary venues as the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, and at Place des Arts in Montreal. No stranger to the festival circuit, Jean has performed at Just For Laughs, Halifax and Winnipeg comedy Festivals and among other credits has written for and toured with Russell Peters.

Jean has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims’ Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series.

He has also proven his talent in on TV and film. He has conquered television as a correspondent on Phat TV, portrayed a wide assortment of characters in the CBC special Thick and Thin, appeared multiple times as a guest on the CBC’s Strombo Show and on CTV’s A Russell Peters Christmas Special. He also played the popular Fluff E the Hip-Hop Bunny, on the Comedy Network’s Buzz Show, and is featured in Home Again and A Universal Language.

“Savage wit and spontaneous combustion combine into an explosive comedic barrage. This cat is fearless. In terms of any kind of act, he works without a net. He is so freewheeling, it’s almost psychedelic.” – Daryl Jung, NOW Magazine, Toronto
